Anaplasmosis - Minnesota Dept. of Health


Anaplasmosis was formerly called granulocytic ehrlichiosis (HGE).  It is the second-most common tickborne disease in Minnesota after Lyme disease.

Anaplasmosis is a bacterial disease transmitted to humans by Ixodes scapularis (blacklegged tick or deer tick), the same tick that transmits Lyme disease.
